Original 1865 John M. Stanley nature print titled "Brown's Falls," Plate 11. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Gerhardt H. Felgemaker, Printseller (COA Reference #: 0201076), certifying it as an original hand and printed color stone lithograph by Sarcony, Major and Knapp, in NYC in 1865. *Note: All staining and marks are on the laminate cover I placed over the matte for protection. The print itself is in pristine condition. This lithograph originates from a 19th-century exploration report for a Pacific railroad route near the forty-seventh and forty-ninth parallels of north latitude, from St. Paul to Puget Sound, led by Isaac I. Stevens, Governor of the Washington Territory. This print was part of a report assessing the most practicable and economical railroad route from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean. A rare and historical piece. Perfect for collectors. As-is.
